Online marketing and social media tips for business from Shannon Belew, best-selling author of "Starting an Online Business For Dummies, All-in-One"
It’s Infographic Friday! Here are three of our favorite, must-see infographics from this week focusing on trends influencing businesses, online and off.
1. Panda or no Panda, search – and the techniques that help us get found online – matter to businesses. Exactly “How Big is the SEO Industry on the Internet?” That’s the question asked by BlueCaribu, an international SEO firm. But this infographic really took off when Mashable picked it up, asking “Just How Interested is the World in SEO?”
2. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is another trend making its way around tech circles these days. Companies are trying to figure out how to benefit from mobility and still deal with the associated costs of security and IT support of all those personal devices, like the iPad, iPhone, Android and more. On this very mobile work-week (July 4th), Digium released this infographic, “BYOD and SMBs: Trends, Risks and Benefits.”
3. So, once customers find you online and once your employees (wherever they happen to be working) sell them stuff, the next challenge is “social” customer service. Online retailers have been dealing with social customers for a while, but businesses online and off are now having to step up their game when it comes to responding to customer service issues from their most social customers. This is a great infographic posted on MediaBistro (from Bluewolf ) about “Social Customer Service: the Next Battleground.”
